Makes about 36 biscuits
2/3 cup pumpkin puree
¼ cup creamy peanut butter
2 eggs
3 Tablespoons bacon fat
2 ½ cups whole wheat flour
½ cup wheat bran
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a mixer with a paddle attachment mix the wet ingredients together. Then add the flour and bran and mix till combined. Flour a work surface and knead the dough till it’s a nice ball that’s not sticky. Split in half and roll half out with a rolling pin to about ¼ inch thick. Cut out dog biscuits with a biscuit shape cutter. Place them on a parchment lined sheet pan, spaced an inch apart. Prick with a fork a little. Bake till golden brown, about 25 – 30 minutes. Let cool and keep in an airtight container.
